Power Inspires Progress is a pre-employment education program that gives adults the opportunity to develop employment skills. Part-time, on-the-job training is provided through a catering business and at a fast-food restaurant called Venice on Vine in Cincinnati's urban core. More than 1,000 workers have successfully completed PIP training since it was established in 1984.
"One powerful thing about volunteering is breaking down the barriers and putting faces and real life stories to what you hear about in the news."
